Fall is Nurturing Consciousness

Nurturing Consciousness

Fallen apples, brown grass, and cooler temperatures signal our short summer is nearing its end. The plants are no longer bursting forth with joy singing to the warmth of sunshine. Nature is preparing herself for the winter months to come and she is kind enough to give us the season of Fall. Spring and Fall are the ‘in between’ times, where the earth shifts from expansion of energy and into contraction of energy. In this state of transition, we will either grow during the Spring or shed layers during the Fall. How can we energetically prepare for this transition?

We might find ourselves feeling sadness and grief at this time and not know why. Observing and listening to nature can help us stay connected to our own natural rhythms. Leaves falling to the ground are the tree’s outward expression of what we may be feeling inwardly. In preparation for the To make room for new growth we have to let go of what no longer serves us, including purging our emotions. Pay attention to the emotional signals you might be feeling, let go, allow yourself to grieve and embrace the winter months ahead. The nostalgia we feel in fall and the introspection we need in winter is just as essential to our livelihood as the creative energy of summer. Nature has so much to teach us.

We feel inward what a tree expresses outward.

Food For Thought…..

“I live my life in growing orbits which move out over the things of the world.

Perhaps I can never achieve the last, but that will be my attempt.

I am circling around God, around the ancient tower, and I have been circling for a thousand years,

and I still don’t know if I am a falcon, or a storm, or a great song.”

– Rainer Maria Rilke
